Robyn Rhodes

Effortless Style with Fun, Easy to Wear Jewelry

Robyn RhodesOne of Hollywood’s favorite jewelry designers, Robyn Rhodes, has been creating fabulous and fun pieces for a decade.  Launched in 2002, Robyn Rhodes Jewelry offers a plethora of styles, from delicate and dainty to funky, fun and modern.  What makes Robyn Rhodes special from other designers is that her jewelry is for women that normally do not wear jewelry.  “I try to make something for everyone, in every price point-- that is extremely important to me,” she says.  Since her jewelry is for people that normally do not wear jewelry, she focuses on making pieces that are fun, lightweight and very easy to wear.  Robyn says, “You can layer it on, or keep it simple.  I love stones and wire-- I can create all day and night with them.”  She has been featured in InStyle, ELLE, Lucky, People, Los Angeles Magazine, Rachel Ray, Seventeen and has been interviewed on many television shows.  Robyn also joined forces with denim company, Rock & Republic to design jewelry for their runway shows at New York’s Fashion Week.

Robyn has always loved color and remembers as a young girl, getting giddy every time her aunt and uncle (both artists) brought out colored pencils for her to draw with.  She was always creative and knew she was an artist, but just not sure what kind.  Robyn started making jewelry, mainly anklets for friends and family at the age of twelve.  In high school, she loved working as a florist because there was so much color and room Robyn Rhodesfor designing.  Robyn graduated from University of California Santa Barbara as a film major with an art history minor.  After working as a celebrity assistant in film and TV for years, she was unable to find work after September 11th.  She started making jewelry to keep herself sane while waiting for phone calls for an industry job and one thing eventually led to another.  Her pieces were quickly noticed and picked up by other boutiques and numerous starlets.  Robyn adores all her pieces but would have to say she loves her pieces that she can wear everyday; the Sofie rings, Roemehl necklace and Mattie earrings.  We adore the Sofie Ring because it is simple yet fabulously stunning.  These thick stackable rings are uniquely squared shaped but evoke a modern feel with the smooth lines and gold finish.  Available in rose and yellow gold, silver, or brass.

Robyn RhodesNumerous celebrities have been spotted wearing Robyn Rhodes, all of which can be seen on the Robyn Rhodes website.  Jessica Alba wears Staci and Shelby while Eva Longoria wears Scarlett and Jessica.  The Staci Earrings were also featured in People Magazine StyleWatch and on The Today Show.  Handmade gold oval hoops showcase onyx stone drops dangling with uneven chains.  A great accessory to a simple black dress or slacks with a blouse.  Also available in Jade, Rose Quartz, Carnelian, Amethyst, Turquoise, Aventurine, and Smokey Quartz.  Scarlett Johansson wears the Scarlett and Kristen Bell wears the Marilyn.  Taylor Swift donned Heather around town.  Robyn believes in giving back and has an altruistic side to her business.  She is involved with the Young Survival Coalition, an organization which helps woman under 40 years of age to cope and find a cure for breast cancer.  In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and designing.  Adding to her hobby list, her goal for 2012 is to do more traveling.  As for favorite jewelry designers, Robyn loves all jewelry from the Rococo and Victorian eras.  Though most of those designers are unnamed, she adores such pieces because they employ quality and color that is unbelievable.

As for inspiration, Robyn can be inspired by anything and everything.  It could be a color or shape or simply walking down the street and seeing the way tree branches overlap to give her motivation to instantly recreate that look.  Robyn produces the majority of designs for her pieces Robyn Rhodesbut she has a wonderful team that supplies ideas and creations.  “I would not be here without them…it is a collaborative effort,” she adds.  Charm necklaces never go out of style and with the Brona Necklace, you can be sure that this pretty and delicate piece will get lots of love and wear.  This necklace features a small dog tag and a circle tag, in your choice of antique silver, yellow or rose gold.  The tags can be stamped with Love, Hope, Peace or Joy.  We selected this piece because the contrast of one rose gold or silver tag against the other yellow gold tag is rich and pretty.  This is the perfect everyday necklace to express the emotion in your life.

Robyn RhodesFor an edgier and louder look that is downtown chic and bohemian at the same time, the Hunter Necklace is a great piece.  Made with long leather strands in between a long antique silver lariat, this mix of leather and chain is fun and modern.  Measuring 40” in length, the necklace can be worn tied as a lariat or untied, hanging loosely for a more bohemian feel.  You can custom design this necklace by choosing either an antique gold or silver chain and leather in colors of plum, black or brown.  The Robyn Rhodes collection changes four times annually while keeping classic pieces that have remained since the company’s inception.  Robyn likes to keep evolving with the jewelry trends and designs.  Moving ahead, she hopes her line will be in every high-end boutique and department store across the nation and Europe in the future.  Currently, Robyn Rhodes jewelry is available at American Rag, B. Luu (Pasadena), Switch Boutique, Marubeni (stores in Japan) and on and  Lastly, Robyn says, “Don’t leave the house without jewelry!  It adds color and flare to your life!”
