Nashelle Jewelry Design

Born from the Love of Giving Back to the Community and World
Heather Straw is the creator and designer of Nashelle Jewelry. This Alaska bred wife and mom of three boys is a success story as she has single handedly cultivated a nationwide jewelry business. Nashelle Jewelry has been featured in national fashion magazines like InStyle, Glamour, Lucky Magazine, Shape, Cosmopolitan, and more. Heather shares, “Nashelle is a team born of love, family, and community,” as they are passionate about creating beautiful jewelry while keeping everything local. Nashelle is committed to using recycled previous metals and natural gemstones while creating original designs made with love. Since her start in 2005, her jewelry collection has been continually growing and gaining name recognition.
Growing up, Heather thought she would become a show designer or dress maker and envied all her friends that could make jewelry since it did not come naturally to her. Then, after studying Metal Arts at the University of Alaska Southeast, she was inspired by the simplicity of combining metals and stones, and was opened to a whole new world of design. Our Editor’s Pick is the Decadent Chandelier Necklace (DN7) as it is a sophisticated and gorgeous piece that is sure to make a statement. This jewel-adorned necklace made with amethyst, purple topaz, and pyrite is breathtaking with its complimentary regal colors against the rich yellow gold. Its dangling tier of various colored briolettes creates an effortlessly chic cascading effect that is meant to accentuate a plunging neckline. This necklace is also available in other gemstone combinations including green amethyst, moonstone, quartz, labradorite, blue topaz, garnet, and more. The chain is available in 14k gold fill or sterling silver.
For earrings, the Lucky Cluster Earrings (LKE5 ) in rose quartz and gold are charming for daily wear. Hanging from French earwires, these round hoops dangle a cluster of tiny rose quartz briolettes. These little beauties are perfect because they will go with everything as their petite and feminine design adds flair without being blingy or loud. You can customize to your liking by choosing from amethyst, blue topaz, garnet,
or rose quartz, as well as your choice of gold or silver. Heather shares, “When I work, it is almost as if the designs come naturally to their own completion. I pay a lot of attention to the changing of the seasons and draw on nature for inspiration, but also to the many facets of women and how we change out look depending on our mood.” The Lovely Necklace (LVN8) in Pink Peruvian Opal is a simple and dainty piece that is unlike most pendant necklaces as it has a double chain to hold the stone while a third chain dangles in the background in a classic arc. The unique style and placement of the chains in this necklace makes it a special piece.
Having started Nashelle Jewelry ten years ago, many of her friends remember her sitting in her living room floor day after day creating and literally selling jewelry off her own neck. After giving birth to her first son in 2005, Heather decided to take her small business to a national level by selling wholesale. A year later, she took a leap of faith and
leased a large warehouse in Bend, Oregon to facilitate Nashelle’s growth. Currently, Nashelle Jewelry is made up of a team of 20 talented designers, jewelry makers, and office bees. We love the Metro Pinch Cuffs (B1006) as these chic little hand-forged bracelets are a pinch to wear and easily go with everything! Available in 14k gold-fill or sterling silver, these are great worn layered and stacked, and even cuter when mixed together with the contrasting hues of silver and gold. They are dainty and casual enough for everyday wear yet original and modern in style.
“I am SO grateful that I have been able to turn my passion into my lifelong career,” Heather says. Nashelle takes pride in the fact that they use all recycled 14k gold-fill and recycled sterling silver materials, as well as natural gemstones. Also, none of their
designs are mass produced or outsourced and will remain that way. Every piece of Nashelle jewelry is handmade to order with love and intention. This handmade decadence can be seen in the Decadent Emma Gold Necklace (DN15) as this is the perfect layering necklace to pair with shorter pendants or to be worn alone. This necklace features tiny beautiful, black onyx stones along a 14k gold-fill or sterling silver chain, giving off a playful and sleek style all on its own. Measuring on the longer side of 58.5" in length, this piece can also be wrapped around twice for a double layered look.
Another fabulous piece is the Found Bracelet (FB32) as shown here in gold and cream. This casual yet chic and edgy bracelet works great as an everyday accessory piece since the combination of classic yellow gold wiring and beads against the soft cream color of the leather is refreshingly neutral. This bracelet features three rows of thin leather
accented with detailed gold beats and banded together at the ends with careful gold wiring and a hook clasp. Nashelle Jewelry also has an adorable Mini Charms collection that is affordable enough to stock up on so you can mix and match your favorite combinations. Our mini charm combination consisted of a gold bolt, dog bone, and California state, dangling from a 17.5” 14k gold-fill chain.
Nashelle Jewelry gives back to their community by donating a portion of their proceeds to F.A.N., Deschutes County’s non-profit organization that provides clothing and necessities to local children who are less fortunate.
