MRE Jewelry

A Slice of Hollywood: Sexy Chains and Charms As Worn By the Stars

MRE JewelryMRE Jewelry is based in Hollywood and is worn by Hollywood.  Designer and founder, Mallory Eisenstein, is known for her “sexy and sophisticated” jewelry, combining beautiful gold and silver chains with colorful and gorgeous stones.  Mallory is the sole creator of MRE Jewelry, and her ideas come from everywhere.  From mixing and matching different kinds of chains with exotic or lush stones, she experiments with a vast variety of combinations to find the right ones.  The MRE collection has been seen and spotted on celebrities like Paris Hilton, Amanda Bynes, Cameron Diaz, Christina Ricci, Mandy Moore, and even Jeremy Piven.  MRE jewelry can also often be spotted on models advertising for Michael Stars.

MRE JewelryMallory was inspired to begin launching her own jewelry line when she made necklaces as gifts for a hobby, while working as a stylist.  Her eye for tasteful styles and chic fashion caught the attention of her friends and others, and her business quickly flourished as people fell in love with her chains and necklaces.  Mallory has always possessed a creative spirit, as her beginnings include making barrettes in grade school and tapering her friend’s jeans after getting a new sewing machine for her bat Mitzvah.  Mallory holds a degree in Media Arts from the University of Arizona, Tucson and has worked in the movie business, with ICM and SNL Studios before transitioning to the world of fashion.

MRE Jewelry MRE has such a stunning array of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, that narrowing down our favorites were not easy.  Our Editors’ Picks are the Multi Chain Necklace and 7 Disc Charm Necklace.  The Multi Chain necklace (featured here in silver) is a vintage inspired triple strand necklace, with a different chain for each strand.  Our editor selected this piece for its unique style and multi-functionality as it looks great worn alone or layered with a locket or pendant.  MRE JewelryThe inner strand consists of miniature rectangle links and the middle strand is a delicate chain with petite silver beads, while the outside larger strand is eye-catching with its stunning thicker weave of oval links.  The 7 Charm Necklace is sure to capture attention with its circle chain necklace comprised of medium gold interlocking rings, and accented by seven silver, 14k yellow gold vermeil and 14k rose gold vermeil disc charms intermittently hanging throughout.  This beautifully designed necklace evokes a bohemian spirit while looking like “a million bucks.”

MRE’s bestsellers and most popular pieces continue to turn heads.  Paris Hilton was spotted wearing the gold plated MRE JewelryLock N Key pendant, a front closing necklace featuring a delicate key interlocking through the hoop of the lock to secure it into place.  This is a unique and fun piece that is sure to garner lots of compliments!  Another stellar piece is the Large Rectangle Chain, a simple yet modern necklace that is great for layering.  Small rectangular chains linked together in an 18” or 36” necklace can be worn long or wrapped around twice.  The rectangular links stand out from the usual circle or oval links, and will add flair to even a shirt and a pair of your favorite jeans.

MRE JewelryThe Leaf Branch Necklace in gold features a branch with five golden leaves, each showing fine detail and craftsmanship.  The necklace is adorned with a white pearl and delicate stone tear drop of your choice (pictured here in chalcedony).  This elegant piece can be worn by itself or as a set with the matching Leaf Branch Earrings, which feature the same striking details as the necklace.  MRE Jewelry If you are an earring fiend, MRE has everything from fancy and embellished earrings to simple, classic styles.  We absolutely love her earrings, consisting of hoops, MRE Jewelryoblique drops, circles, teardrops, and more because they can be worn day or night.  The Oval Hoops is a definite must have for any wardrobe because it goes with everything.  These stunning hand shaped wire oval hoops are available in gold and silver, and hang 2-1/4 inches long.

MRE JewelryMRE is not just for women, as they also offer a collection for men.  The men’s line, appropriately named Manlery, features silver chain necklaces with different charms, like skull and bones, crests, crowns, and more.  A popular favorite is the Horn and Charms, featuring an ivory horn, with a sterling silver Buddha charm, and a miniature star, hanging from a silver chain.  You can also support a good cause by purchasing an Africa Fund Necklace, as 100% of its proceeds go to charities for Africa, specifically OneKid OneWorld.  This fund will go towards books and uniforms for girls, a clean water well, and a dormitory for orphans in the Suba region of Kenya. Mallory’s big hearted generosity is self evident as she plans to send jewelry to the girls there to “add a little sparkle to their lives.”

When asked to share her favorite designs, Mallory said, “I only design things that I truly like and would wear.  I really like all the designs,MRE Jewelry it’s like asking a mother which child she likes best!”  “As for the future, Mallory envisions MRE continuing to grove and evolve, as she plans to expand her line into fine jewelry.  As if she was not busy enough, she has also started a partnership with actress Garcelle Beauvois-Nilon for a children’s jewelry line called Petit Bijou.  And if Mallory could have her cake and eat it too, she would “love, love” to create a specialty line for Target.  Need I say more? Keep your eyes open for MRE!  MRE jewelry is sold nationwide in specialty boutiques and at
