Joovy Loo

The Loo

Joovy LooIf you’re not already familiar with Joovy (, they are an all American family run company based in Dallas, TX and Orange County, CA that manufactures affordable and quality made family gear and children’s products.  Joovy is dedicated to offering parents and their children the very best with premium features and high quality fabrics and materials.  In addition, Joovy values their customers and offers genuine customer service by answering calls and being available to assist and help with questions.  Today, we will be introducing you to one of their fabulous new products, a stunning version of the potty, cleverly named The Loo (  Its sleek and modern design along with its well built and designed functionality makes this the most functional potty on the market.  While there are a ton of toddler potty options out there, they are usually decorated with cheesy motifs and bright colors and lacking practical function ability.  The Joovy Loo combines contemporary styling with watertight cleanliness to offer both attractiveness and quality at an affordable price of $39.99.

As the time nears for diapers to make their exit, teaching your child to “go” becomes a number one priority and cleaning up afterwards is the part parents dread most.  Horror stories of messy accidents in between the cracks or getting into inner bowl leave most parents delaying the potty training process.  Fear not, for the Loo has a completely sealed inner bowl that has been designed with only two parts that fit snugly together without nooks or crannies for spill overs to get trapped.  For children, potty training can be a scary experience and most toddlers avoid having to sit on an adult toilet, even with the kiddy foam toilet seat.
Pulling The Loo out of the box, it comes fully assembled with simply two parts, the non-slip base and the removable bowl for your child’s “business.”  In terms of size and capacity, the large bowl has ample fill space and its solid construction can handle kids of all sizes up to 60 pounds.  What we love is how easy it is to lift out and empty with their no-touch grab handle so parents refrain from getting messy.  For small bathrooms, the Loo at 8” high and 13.25” round is compact enough without getting in the way.

Joovy LooThe Loo is also aesthetically pleasing as its bright clean white color and ultra-smooth finish makes it look clean and pristine while ensuring easy clean-up.  The potty also has a non-slip base to maximize stability during use so that your unsteady toddler won’t accidentally knock it over when getting up.  Another genius addition that isn’t common in other potty models is the integrated splash shield.  Here, this is great as it prevents spills when they are first learning to use the potty.  While my two-year old daughter still wears diapers, she immediately loved the Loo and will easily sit on it by herself with a book.  In our household, the Loo is most certainly kid approved.

Joovy LooAs Joovy shares, “The Loo was designed in America at a world-renowned industrial design university and uses smooth ergonomic forms to ideally fit your child without limiting their comfort.”  As a parent, I cannot help but rave about this potty because the design is simple and uncomplicated so that I can focus on the task at hand.  The Loo is also entirely safe as it is BPA, PVC and Phthalate free.  The day will come when you need to start potty training and choosing the right potty that is both functional and attractive is important.  Joovy’s sensible design focuses on reinforcing the transition to an adult seat while ensuring that clean up is as easy as can be.
