Adina Design

Adina Design

Highly Designed and Luxurious Jewelry for Everyday

Adina DesignLaunched in 2001, Adina Design, by Adina Reyter, is classic, sophisticated, minimal and yet highly designed.  “Jewelry is all about the details!  There is so much out there, but what I strive to do with every single piece is create something that is lasting, collectable, wearable, special and unique,” says Adina.  She believes there is a lack of quality jewelry that is both easy to wear and lasting.  While the current trend may be costume jewelry, she believes there is always a “demand for something made well and simply beautiful.”  In today’s age, the reality is that the majority of women are constantly running around daily, whether it is going to school, work, or taking care of their children.  But at the same time, they still want to look special and beautiful, which is why Adina makes jewelry for these everyday women with real lives.  Adina Design is for women who want something uniquely designed, but which can be worn everyday and hopefully passed down to their children and grandchildren.  Celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston, Teri Hatcher and others own multiple favorites of Adina Design.

Adina graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in Political Economy.  She never formally studied art or design but has always been fascinated with both subjects.  Adina has always been crafty with her hands, from drawing and painting to any art related. She also loves fashion and design.  Before becoming a designer, she never indulged in much jewelry because she needed pieces that worked for her active lifestyle.  She kept this in mind when designing her collection and truly believes that is why all of her designs are so easy to wear, yet possessing a tremendous amount of style and design.   Adina always knew she wanted her own creative business and started off working in advertising during the internet boom and bust while living in San Francisco at the time.  After surviving multiple rounds of layoffs, she realized she needed a creative outlet and started taking metal work classes.  For every piece she created, she would get stopped on the street by people asking where she purchased it.  She realized she had a great opportunity and began designing a collection.  At that time, the trend was chunky, heavy stone jewelry and because her pieces were so different due to its metal work, they stood out all the more for being understated and classic.

Adina DesignHer favorite pieces are usually whatever she is working on at the moment.  She loves working with true metals, precious stones, sterling silver, gold and diamonds.  Currently, she is really into sterling silver and diamonds because it is “sophisticated, beautiful, luxurious, and highly designed.”  The clean and bright appearance of silver looks like platinum while the price is unreal, making it wearable, unique and substantial.  We also adore her One Diamond Tiny Circle Necklace in sterling silver for its universal appeal and affordable price of $163.  This simple yet sophisticated necklace features a tiny circle measuring 1/3 of an inch across with a bezel-set floating diamond along the inner side, hanging from a double sterling chain.  Perfect as a gift for mothers and friends, this piece will instantly become an everyday favorite and is also available in 14k gold.

When it comes to ideas, she looks at the world in terms of jewelry design since it is always on her mind.  It is how she looks at everything, from magazines and architecture to different cultures.  Adina Design“Almost anything can be an inspiration – especially pieces that I remember from my childhood,” Adina shares.  Her first collection had a hammered finish which was inspired by her parents’ wedding bands of simple hammered gold that left a lasting impression on her.  Her collections are all very straightforward and have the essence of design and immense style without being ornate.  She emphasizes, “I really work on taking the essential elements of things and translating them in a unique way into jewelry that is classic, wearable and collectable.”  Another lovely piece that exemplifies this talent and style is the One Diamond Tiny Disc Heart Necklace for its classic heart shape with a modern twist.  A tiny sterling silver heart disc with an embedded diamond hangs from a sterling silver chain and looks fabulous alone or layered.  This makes for an excellent gift to the special lady in your life that you love.

Before becoming a mother, Adina had the opportunity to travel a lot as she lived in Granada, Spain, for a year and traveled throughout Europe.  She visited Italy several times and also traveled to Israel, Thailand and Japan and found each of them to be incredible experience.  In addition, as a resident of Los Angeles, she is fortunate enough to experience the unbelievable pockets of different cultures within her city.  Monterey Park has one of the largest Chinese populations outside of China with tremendous jewelry stores and Artesia is known as little India, where its incredible ornate jewelry is truly unreal and inspirational.

Adina DesignAdina Design also features a captivating collection of 14k yellow gold pieces in a range of prices.  Her necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets are available in both sterling silver and 14k yellow gold.  The Gold Tiny Circle Earrings are tiny 14 carat gold hoops dangling from French ear wires. These tiny circle earrings are both delicate and simple so they can be worn everyday as they compliment any outfit.  Adina does not have a design or work team under her as she thinks about jewelry day and night because that is the way she looks at the world.  Everywhere she goes, every magazine she reads, every museum she visits, every building she sees, she thinks about as a way of interpreting the main essentials into something special and wearable.  In her future, she sees herself moving more into finer jewelry but still everyday wearable and accessible as her customers grow with her.  She also sees her exclusive jewelry collection designed for Walmart growing and creating a new channel for a different kind of fine jewelry and new customers.

Because Adina really prides herself on creating jewelry that is lasting, she continues to sell the same styles year after year.  However, she is always working on new and different pieces as she evolves and matures and a designer.  She believes her work reflects this as all of her new sterling and diamond pieces are wearable, everyday, highly designed, and yet very luxurious.  When it comes to personal taste, she loves the craftsmanship of Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels as well as Yossi Harrari from Israel and Pomelato out of Italy.  When she is not working, Adina loves spending time with her family, reading books, and going to the movies.  She may even try to workout once in awhile, although she cannot say that she loves it.  To shop and purchase Adina Design for the special person in your life, visit
